George Bashier Murr is a life-long Houstonian and a Founding Partner of the national and international law firm of Murr Yanochik, P.L.L.C. He graduated from Houston’s St. John’s School and earned his Bachelor of Arts and Doctorate of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas. Mr. Murr practices international, energy, real estate, commercial and insurance litigation. He represents clients in Texas, throughout the U.S., and internationally, focusing on the Middle East and North Africa. Mr. Murr is currently the National Vice President of the Southern Federation of Syrian-Lebanese American Clubs (SFSLAC), as well as Vice President of the Houston Affiliates of the SFSLAC. Mr. Murr previously served as Parliamentarian and on the Board of Directors for the American Lebanese Cultural Center (ALCC), and he remains a Trustee to the ALCC. He prides himself on his Lebanese roots and family values and is committed to maintaining the Lebanese community and Lebanese culture, at home and abroad, for all future generations.
