Hala Musallam Charafeddine is an alumnus of the American University of Beirut. She taught Freshman and Sophomore English courses at the American University of Beirut and the Lebanese American University for three years before immigrating to the USA. She is married to Dr. Nizar Charafeddine and together are the proud parents of Yasmeen, Chafic, and Marwan. In Houston, Hala has worked alongside her husband, managing his practice. She is also a real estate agent with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services-Anderson Properties. She has previously served on the executive board of the American University of Beirut Alumni Association of North America for 3 consecutive terms as secretary, and is currently a board member of the Houston Chapter Board as well. Hala also served on the American Druze Society Houston Chapter Executive Board as secretary for three consecutive terms, and has chaired several Gala events for this organization. Additionally, she co-chaired fundraiser events benefiting the Rene Moawad Foundation. Hala is passionate about the Lebanese Festival in Houston and has been involved in it since its inception.
