    Thank you for your consideration for a position on the ALCC Board. I have several years of experience serving on various non-profit organizations and bring with me an understanding of treasury functions and financial controls; organizational skills in managing event committees; and knowledge of IT systems.

    My interests are in serving our community through positive influences, beneficial functions and activities, engaging our youth by mentoring them and involving them to become the future leaders and representatives of our culture.

    ALCC                                                                                                                          SServed two years as the Chair of Financial Controls for the Houston American-Lebanese Festival Committee.

    American Druze Society (ADS) – Houston Chapter 

  • Positions of responsibility included Vice President (4 years), President (2 years), and Treasurer (3 years).
  • Helped organize two very successful and groundbreaking Houston Thanksgiving conventions in 2008 and most recently in 2012
  • Helped establish a scholarship program and fund for the Houston Chapter and its members. This program has provided financial assistance to over 30 students during their college
  • Helped drive Houston Chapter membership in the ADS from 20 paid members in 2006 to its peak of 147 in 2012, by promoting the ADS and its programs that were designed to serve and improve our bonds and understanding of one
  • During my tenure as ADS Chapter President, I oversaw the establishment of an outreach program focused on Community Service to make the ADS name recognized as an active participant in Community Service events. This program was meant to provide a positive example to our youth, what it really means to perform a good
  • Recently during my tenure as Treasurer I helped make the Houston Chapter one of the few Chapters’ compliant with the ADS National financial reporting
  • Nationally, I was one of original members of the ADS Digital Community established in 2009 to bring the ADS into the 21st Century by digitizing membership payments, event registrations social connections and Chapter websites online on one centralized

    Boy Scouts of America – Sugar Land Troop 1631 

    • Served four years as Assistant Scoutmaster, and five years as Treasurer and Troop Committee
    • Helped organize long term summer camps involving logistics, training and
    • Created an assistance program and fund to help less privileged scouts attend leadership training and long term
